I love the smell of Karma in the morning...

The Hug Lady
Morgantown, PA, United States
I am the Mother of a six year old girl and a three year old boy. I've been married fifteen years this year, and my husband and I are the legal guardians of his older brother, a learning disabled adult. I run my own business, I write, I parent, I frequently froth at the mouth and I bake a mean apple cake.

Where did you get the idea for the HUG?

You can read the story of the HUG on the Hugs Direct website. It's a wonderful job, and I'm having the time of my life doing this! I sell Hugs for anyone who needs one. The new Moms. The breast cancer survivors. The grandkids. The grandparents. The kids of deployed soldiers. The soldiers themselves. People who've lost a loved one. People who just plain need a Hug! It's been a terrific experience, and I wouldn't trade it for the world!
